Hi guys,

I had an old version of FreeRip (circa Feb. 2007!) on my computer - hard drive recently died and has been replaced...

Is there any way I can get ahold of the version of FreeRip that would have been in use then?  I loved it, worked great for me, no complaints.

The new version seems to be a bit more than I need... and I really liked the very clean old interface.

Thanks!

A quick torrent search shows FreeRIP 2.9 being available. Perhaps that route might work. Not that I personally would use such a method, but it does exist.

Hmm....thanks... I think I'm a little scared of the torrent sites though Wink !

And, I've poked around here and it looks like it's just one person who develops FreeRip.  If so, I hope I didn't offend you in any way - the new version looks spiffy and packed with all sorts of stuff... It's just, the old version was completely *perfect* for me, and did exactly what I needed very easily with no fuss!

Thanks!

Oh!  I may have it - it looks like I managed to back up the "Program Files" folder before the drive actually died... I copied over the Freerip files, and they seem to be working ok!  (It opens, I haven't tried ripping anything yet tho') -

So, yay!  Thanks!

I am happy for you. And thanks for the reminder--I have many such programs to back up.
