Hi there,
unfortunately FreeRIP Basic doesn't read the track names from the internet. When I activate "Query Free Rip database" the errortext "No match" is shown in the status line. When I activate "Query freedb.org" the errortext "Server error" is shown in the status line. I have already deactivated my firewall, but that didn't help. My CD is "Santana - Abraxas" - a quite common one. Other CD rippers (CDex and audiograbber) can read the information without problems. What can I do?
Kind regards - Ulrich

I haven't seen any info on this. I have the same problem. I really like FreeRip, and was thinking about buying the pro version, but I'm not messing with it now since it won't read the CD info. It would sometimes read it if I kept refreshing the disk or querying freedb.org. But I'm done. I uninstalled it. If someone who knows what is up with this reads this, email me. Otherwise I'm afraid I am going with a different software.

I'm the same. I love Free rip when it works but I'm currently ripping all my CD to a hard drive and typing in the track names myself is getting beyond a joke.

The worst thing is when it recognises the 2nd cd of a set. Why can't it do both?

I'll too would have got the full version if it did not have this issue

I am sure that a prblem exists, the fact is that I had not been able to recreate it on my test machines and this makes really hard to find out what's wrong!
